Norbert Leonard, attorney based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, is the President of Leonard & Kruse, PC. He has more than a quarter century of experience in litigation, Arbitration, and Mediation. An expert in labor relations and employment law, including civil rights litigation and harassment in the workplace, Norbert Leonard, attorney, has litigated cases in both State and Federal court. He has litigated complex personal injury and product liability cases as well.

Over the course of his career as an attorney, Leonard has represented and worked extensively with individual clients, and public employees’ unions. He has also represented municipal employers. He represents the Flint Police Officers’ union in labor negotiations. He has been involved in trials and Arbitrations involving teachers, policemen, and firefighters.

Leonard maintains a deep familiarity with all aspects of Michigan employment law in his practice as an attorney. He has litigated many cases involving issues related to harassment in the workplace, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Whistleblowers’ Protection Act. He has used Michigan’s Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act on behalf of clients, and has participated in hearings with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights.

A skilled litigator, Leonard has also received advanced training in Mediation and Arbitration. He is a certified General Civil Mediator and has completed Alternative Dispute Resolution Training. He maintains memberships in the Michigan State Bar, the Michigan Association for Justice, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Since 1998, he has served as a Hearing Panelist for the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board.

Norbert Leonard earned his JD from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan, and graduated cum laude. In his spare time, Leonard enjoys biking, running, and film.
